According to the article of Reuters, one of a famous franchise department store in England, Devenhams has suggested a new service which is for people who got divorce. The writer of the article reports that celebration of divorce have became being popular in England so the department store has surveyed what people got divorce want because one of people who got divorce will need to find a new place, therefore, they will not have anything such as consumer electrical appliances. The responsible person of the service argues that if there is this kind of service, the people surrounding people who got divorce could help them start their new lives. In Japan, there is no this kind of service at all and divorce will not be celebrated at all so I cannot understand that service. However, I would agree with this idea if I was a worker of the department store because I think that this service would not be for the people who got divorce or the people surrounding them. This would be for boosting selling. This is like the department store just gives people a chance to use their money. It can say that the department store is taking advantage of celebration that they made by themselves.
There are so many celebration like this. For example, in Japan, on the Valentine day, women usually give chocolate to men who they love. Why chocolate? It is said that a chocolate company wanted to boost selling more so they got an idea to make a general rule(celebration) which is like that celebration of divorce in England. Now, the rule is like that women should give a chocolate to all men who are around them. That means the beginning of the rule was like if women have someone who they want to say I love you but now, it does not matter so they can give all men chocolate.
The celebration of divorce in England is a good idea. If it becomes popular people should do that then some day, people have to do that even though they do not why they have to do that. If you have a new idea for celebration, then if it was accepted by people, you could be getting boosting selling.
