Whale Fishing

There is a big issue between Japan and Australia which is Whale fishing. Japan has a food culture that a few Japanese people eat whale and they catch it around the Antarctic Ocean. Most people have never had whales so I do not know how much whales are caught by Japan. A group which is called, Sea Shepherd have tried to stop the fishing for some reasons. They say that it must be prohibited because whales are one of mammalia and they say that whales are clever, they have brains that are the same as 4~5 year-old human that is why the group against Japan. Some researchers have researched about whales’ brains. They are not that much smart as 4~5 year-old human. I am not sure which is correct but I would say that whales are not smart that much for sure. In addition, the fishing is not illegal.

It is said that because Australia has earned a lot of money with whales watching from tourists so the group is against Japanese fishing. The group is very violence to stop of Japanese whales fishing. The Australian government is support the group and most Australian people agree with the idea so many people make a donation of money to the group. However, about two months ago, the group attacked a Japanese whales-fishing-ship. When Australian people watched the video, they doubted what the group is doing in their country.

If there was no related to money with whales, there might be no issue about it.

Japanese Cars

When people think of Japanese cars, they may say that it is a good quality, strong, or it has good mileage. For Japanese people, these things are matter of course but if people compare an American car with a Japanese car, they also say that. TOYOTA is a one of greatest car company but their hybrid car, New Purius, which is very popular in the world, has a fault of their breaks so they have decided to recall these cars. In Japan, they also have started it. According to the news paper, Yomiuri News, TOYOTA was planning a program of perfprmance for selling a new car which is called Passo in Japan on 15th of February, however, today, they decided to cancel the plan because they may inconvenience their costumers. Another recalling news came up today, according the article, CNN, one of Japanese car companies, HONDA has decided starting recalling one of their cars because the system of its air bag have a fault and total 95 hundred thousand cars in the world.

These news have becoming bigger in the US than in Japan for some reasons. It is maybe many American people have these cars so media should tell people about it. We have learned media which has been controlled by someone so far so we may be able to think this way. The US has a big problem which is that a lot of American customers are leaving from US car companies then most of them have bought Japanese cars so it might be possible that the US government can mention all media to tell people about a bad image of Japanese car companies. On the other hand, if now an American car has a fault on their cars, the media would not mention it too much.

We have learned media from that kinds of angle so I am actually confused because I am not sure what thing is truth.

Sumo, the National Sport of Japan

Sumo is a combat sport. The sumo wrestlers are very big and ware uniform which is called “Mawashi” and is like T-backed underwear. They wear only that so it looks like a little bit strange. There is a ranking system which represents who is the strongest wrestler and this would change each tournament. The top wrestler is called “Yokozuna.” Sumo is popular from old people, not that much popular for young people but some famous and strong wrestlers such as Yokozuna are known by all Japanese and also sumo is very popular in Mongolia because now, two Yokozuna are from Mongolia. The two Yokozuna are hero in Mongolia.

One of the Yokozuna, Asashouryu, 29 year-old, announced retirement from sumo world two days ago. This is a big news in Japan but in Mongolia, this news is bigger than in Japan. He was very strong but it is said that he did not have a good or enough behavior as a Yokozuna or an athlete. He had had a lot of bad news such as an act of violence that is why he had to announce retirement. However, on the Mongolian media mentions that Japanese people have been jealousy about Mongolian wrestler so Japanese people drove retirement.

This is completely different information. People in Mongolia may have bad image about Japanese sumo world and Japanese because all top news in Mongolia mentions about this news and say “The Yokozuna is poor. Japanes sumo world is terrible.” I do not know which information is correct but I think that sumo has a lot of strict traditional rules so people may misunderstand about what Japanese media criticize the Yokozuna. I hope that the ex-Yokozuna, Asashouryu will mentions the truth in Japan and in Mongolia.

NASA

Do you believe a rumor that is about an alien? People may not realize what is truth. According to NASA, Pluto is located 59 hundred million kilometer away from the Sun and is covered with red and yellow. This information is kind of interesting but I am wondering that how much cost the government has spent for the projects. NASA also announces that in 2015, they will unravel the mystery of Pluto by the unmanned probe. Who want to know about Pluto more? I just want to know how much cost they have been spending about it so far.

People actually cannot know what is truth about space even thought the money come from our taxes. Even if the government said that there were many aliens around the earth, we still would not know what was truth because most people had never seen space so actually people just would follow their information. For example, if NASA reported that we might have a war with aliens so we need more money, people of course would agree to rise in tax.

People need media to understand what is happening in the world but it is easy to control them by making a rumor or a new information. It is important that people need to see information from several media, however, if these media have been controlled by same people, there would be no truth. In our history, there may have been a lot of untruth stories.

The Gross Domestic Product in the U.S.

All businesses are reeling from what is said to be the worst recession since the war. The economic situation has grown serious; however, the Department of Commerce announces that during from October to December, 2009, the GDP was increased about 5.7%. They also stresses that they hope this business may be getting better.

We have learned about media which has been controlled by someone so people may have been controlled by the media. I am wondering that the economy also may have been controlled by someone because I read a book that said that 99% of all wealth in the world have been held by 1% of all population in the world. That means all people except the 1% people, have been sharing the rest of 1% of wealth. Even if the economy gets the worst, those 1% people will not be affected for sure because of 99% of all wealth. A human made a system of money, therefore, it would be possible that the human can control how money generate or how money circulate.

I also wondering that  who have decided about the rate of gasoline value. When the vale is raising, they say that the  price of gasoline has to go up because the leaving of gasoline is getting empty. However, no one knows how much left the gasoline is that is why it is easy to say that, then they can easily collect a lot of money because people have to buy some gasoline to live.

Top people may be afraid of ordinary citizens who against them even though they can control everything so they may give us a hope which is like the news about The GDP is getting better. The reason why they announce it is maybe to stop a rebellion. It is like people may think that we can have jobs if the economic gets better. If the top people gave us to share a lot of wealth, some people might have stronger power than them so that they cannot do that.

It may be better that ordinary people have been controlling than not to be controlled. What would you think?

In this an internet era, people can meet on an internet site a lot. Some people just become acquainted with someone then some of them become married couples on the internet. According to the article, Reuter, researchers at Iowa university report that an average of ages which married couples who met on the internet are higher than normal couples who did not meet on the internet and they had more experience of divorce than normal couples. The researchers also report that some married couples who met on the internet, they are different nationalities, furthermore, a few couples have gotten married even they had never met in person. This is totally strange. I understand that they feel excited to meet and talk on the internet but getting married is different from just to have a conversation. It is difficult to live together for a long time if they had never met before even though their relationship is good on the Internet. If someone has gotten married on the Internet, it is not bad but if they got divorce soon, I would say “Of course.”

A person who I know and is an American man met a Philippines woman who lived in the Philippines on the Internet and they had a relationship for a year then got married. They already decided that they would marry even they had never met in person before the day they met for the first time. I do not know how they nurtured the love between two people. I just thought they were serious. On the first day they met was at airport in the Philippines. The man flew to the Philippines to meet the woman. They are of course familiar each other at least their face because they talked on the Skype many times and already had decided to marry at that time. However when they met there the woman said “Who are you?” to the man. He said his name but she did not believe him then she asked him “Do you have your ID with you? because you are different from the Internet and from I thought.” If I were him I would leave from her soon but I actually would not decided that way to marry anyway.

Unfortunately, they got divorce after for a while. He said that they were just different. If it was comedy, it would be funny but it was not. I hope that people who want to meet someone on the Internet would not get a trouble.

A New Service in England

Even though it is now in a depression, some companies create a new service because of in this depression. According to the article, Reuters, a world-chain hotel, Holiday Inn in England has attempted to start a new service that an employee makes a bed worm for their customers at 3 hotels of this chain in London and Manchester. The spokesperson of this chain announces employees who wear a pair of fleece pajamas will make  beds worm until the bed gets 20 degree Celsius before their customers use the beds. And the spokesperson also mentions that they will clear the beds if hair are fell no them but before the fact, they are not sure if the employees take a shower. when people hear this service many people may think that they do not like it or that is strange service.

However, I agree with this idea because there are so many hotels in many places but by announcing this service, people can know about this hotel and some people may choice them even if it is a strange service. I mean that this is a free advertisement. They are taking advantage of this internet news or a local news paper. They know that if that big group hotel have an interesting service, it would be on news. Some people who saw this news would discuss about it. There is a limit to cut a charge so they are trying to create a new service in this depression. Finally, I think that they may need to make a rumor widely known that the employee who makes a bed worm is a young beautiful girl. At least men would be happy or otherwise, a couple may have a problem if he is happier too much.

Celebration of Divorce in England

According to the article of Reuters, one of a famous franchise department store in England, Devenhams has suggested a new service which is for people who got divorce. The writer of the article reports that celebration of divorce have became being popular in England so the department store has surveyed what people got divorce want because one of people who got divorce will need to find a new place, therefore, they will not have anything such as consumer electrical appliances. The responsible person of the service argues that if there is this kind of service, the people surrounding people who got divorce could help them start their new lives. In Japan, there is no this kind of service at all and divorce will not be celebrated at all so I cannot understand that service. However, I would agree with this idea if I was a worker of the department store because I think that this service would not be for the people who got divorce or the people surrounding them. This would be for boosting selling. This is like the department store just gives people a chance to use their money. It can say that the department store is taking advantage of celebration that they made by themselves.

There are so many celebration like this. For example, in Japan, on the Valentine day, women usually give chocolate to men who they love. Why chocolate? It is said that a chocolate company wanted to boost selling more so they got an idea to make a general rule(celebration) which is like that celebration of divorce in England. Now, the rule is like that women should give a chocolate to all men who are around them. That means the beginning of the rule was like if women have someone who they want to say I love you but now, it does not matter so they can give all men chocolate.

The celebration of divorce in England is a good idea. If it becomes popular people should do that then some day, people have to do that even though they do not why they have to do that. If you have a new idea for celebration, then if it was accepted by people, you could be getting boosting selling.

A Divorce Problem in the U.S.

According to the article of Record Chine, a Professor of Cornell University in the U.S., Daniel who is a Psychologist has researched that what the difference of tender feelings between men and women through 5000 couples for 3 years and then he reports that “a real feeling of love” will not be continuing more than for 30 months. In the article, he argues that what “a real feeling of love” is like when you think of being able to meet your boyfriend or girlfriend, if you feel the heart pounding or not. In the article, he also reports that after 30 months together, a power of hugging from a man to a woman would be 75% down and from a woman to a man, the power would be 85% down. Then, for both men and women, when they kiss, the feeling of passionate would reduce 75% each, he reports. I agree with the report. I think that a love would be changing to a different way which is like first, they love as boyfriend and girlfriend then after getting married or together for a long time, they would start loving as a family member. I mean that for men, they may start thinking how to support their family after getting married so they must be more serious than when they are just a couple.

There is an interesting information about divorce in the U.S. Almost a half of married couple in the U.S. have gotten divorce. This is double number of Japanese rate. According to the article of a News paper, there are 3 big reasons why the U.S. people have divorced a lot.

1, The low of divorce has been changed that people can get divorce easier than before since it executed in 1970.

2, women have earned more money than before, therefore, they can become independent.

3, An existence of a religion. For example, Catholicism has accepted getting divorce.

I believe that American people have said “I love you” a lot, of course, more than Japanese people have said that. In Japan, before Japanese people eat a meal, they should say “Itadakimasu” which means “Thank you for eating a meal.” but almost no one think that “Thanks” from the bottom of their hearts. It looks like just saying that with no feeling. So, I doubt the American’s ” I love you.” It is like Japanese “Itadakimasu.” I feel like that American’s “I love you” is with no feeling because they have gotten divorced a lot even if they are saying “I love you” so many times a day.

An Anabolic Steroid

According to the Yomiuri news paper in Japan, Mark David McGwire, a former professional baseball player in the U.S. has admitted to using an anabolic steroid at that time when he was playing baseball. He made 583 home-runs total and had a new record of home-runs for one season in 1998 then he retired in 2001. People have doubted him use it for a long time but in 2005, he avoided to mention about the truth at a public hearing. All sport have to be fair for sure that’s why audiences get excited and impression. In the article, he argued “I shouldn’t have used it.” People cannot forgive him, even though he said that, however, some people want him enter the Baseball Hall of Fame. If athletes can get forgiveness just by apologizing later, many people may cheat on sports.

Using an anabolic steroid in Bodybuilding sport has been issued for some reasons. First, it has negative effect to the body such as increasing a risk of heart disease, cancer, or hormone imbalance so actually, the steroid would make their life in sport shorter. Secondly, Children may be influenced by the athletes who are using it because they yearn professional athletes. Third, it is totally not fair. According to the news paper, he stressed that even thought he used it, the condition sometimes was not good. But I think this way that even if he felt bad condition sometimes, he was still using the steroid so he was helped his performance by the steroid and he also believed so. If he really reflect on his conduct, he should work on a project for abolition of a steroid in all sports. Checking the steroid user needs a lot of money so I hope that he donates some of his money that he earned with a steroid to the organization of checking steroid user.
